Monterrey in many ways is the industrial capital of Mexico and the automotive industry is its main manufacturing industry.

In these years, companies in the automotive sector with both Mexican and foreign capital have been investing in developments for electromobility, in this panel we are going to present 3 different situations with business implications that industrial groups in Monterrey have been developing, on the one hand, there is the creation of a joint venture between Quimmco group of Monterrey, with an electric vehicle manufacturer from Germany, to be able to manufacture electric vehicles in Mexico.

On the other hand, the company Nemak, world leader in the manufacture of aluminum-cast monoblocks and engine heads, has ventured into the manufacture of components for electric vehicles such as battery trays and other components made of aluminum.

Finally we have the participation of the Xignux group which is also developing another joint venture with CIRCONTROL for the installation of electric charging stations for vehicles.

We hope to give a view from 3 different perspectives of efforts towards electromobility.

Keywords: Electromobility, Quimmco, Nemak, Xignux, Circontrol

Panel III: Entrepreneurship Education
1:00 –
