Mr. Ziad H. Al-Musallam is a senior technology executive with over thirty years of experience in strategically strengthening local hi-tech capabilities and localization of electronics manufacturing and software industries in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Ziad H. Al-Musallam is currently the Executive VP of Engineering & Operations (E&O) at AEC since 2017 and reports to the Chief Executive Officer; responsible for all core design, engineering, implementation & operational activities of the organization.
Mr. Al-Musallam was previously the Senior VP of Engineering & Development from 2014 to 2017 where he was responsible for the technical and engineering function of the company in engineering management and development of its various sections. He was also the Senior VP & GM of the Energy Business Unit from 2015 to 2017 where he oversaw the study and adoption of industrial products in the Energy sector.
Mr. Al-Musallam joined the Engineering and Development department at AEC as an Engineer in 1991 and has had an illustrious career rising through the ranks within the organization. Prior to AEC, he was a Design Engineer at the National Information Center, Ministry of Interior where he started his career in 1988.
Mr. Al-Musallam is member of the Local Content Committee, Chairman of the Cost Optimization Committee, member of Saudi Arabian Smart Grid Steering Committee, Appraisal Sponsor for CMMI Level 3 certification Software Engineering institute’s (SEI) standard Capability Maturity Model and Member of the RFTONICS Scientific Committee (KACST).
Mr. Al-Musallam has a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has attended management programs from INSEAD as well as several other technical and management courses
