M. Affan Badar, PhD, CPEM is a Professor and former Chair of the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology Management at Indiana State University, USA. From 2016 to 2018, he was Professor and Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at the University of Sharjah, UAE. He received a PhD Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2002, MS in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1993, and MSc in Industrial Engineering in 1990 and BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 1988 from Aligarh Muslim University. Dr. Badar has published more than 70 articles in refereed journals and proceedings in the areas of quality, reliability, coordinate metrology, lean manufacturing, health care, energy system design, and supply chain. He is a member of IISE, IEOM, ASEM, and ASME.

His innovative research intending to optimal solutions for objectives of several GDP dependent, both SME and service sectors working towards reforming India’s rural economy, specifically through academic deliveries are leverages by his deep industry rich experiences, all of which he gained with his wide gamut of experience with Government, Public Sector Units and Corporate, particularly on National Educational Programme for creating awareness for enhance energy efficiency under the National Action Plan for Climate Change. Renewable energy and energy efficiency, the politics of large-scale energy infrastructure, designing public policy to improve energy security and access to electricity, and building adaptive capacity to the consequences of climate change, all are of his ever green and ongoing research agenda to advocate to management stakeholders.
As a sample of reflection, his research on precise decision on energy has been depicted in several international and national journals/ magazine interviews, few of them include Fundamental and Innovations in Solar Energy, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Indian Journal of Public Administration, International Energy Sector Management, Transforming Government: People Process and Policy, Information Security and Management, and Journal of Advances in Management etc. His research also conferred upon Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence (2017) by Emerald Publishing, United Kingdom, under the category of Highly Commended Paper. His research work is seen in international conferences at The Institute of Energy Economics (IEEJ) Japan (2009), International Academy of Business, and Economies (IABE), USA (2012) and Canadian University of Dubai, (2014).

In 2018, Dr. Cudney received the ASQ Crosby Medal for her book on Design for Six Sigma. Dr. Cudney received the 2018 IISE Fellow Award. From 2005 until 2010, he worked in the fields of plant and factory planning in a local food processing industry. Degrees: Haleh obtained her BS in industrial engineering from NC State University. She is an ASQ certified quality engineer, and is SME bronze lean certified. Erwin Rauch is an Assistant Professor in Manufacturing Technology and Systems at Free University of Bolzano, Italy. He received his BSc in Logistics and Production Engineering from the Free University in Bolzano (Italy). He also holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and a Master in Business Administration from the TUM Business School. Since 2007, he worked in a Management Consultancy as a Consultant for Lean management. Later he obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. Since 2014, he is Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bolzano and in 2017 Visiting Researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA (USA). Further, he is Head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0 application at the Free University of Bolzano. Mr. Junior Bennett is an Industrial Engineering Lecturer and Leader of the UTech Ja Productivity Research Group at the University of Technology, Jamaica. He earned a Bachelor of Education in Industrial Technology – Electrical from the University of Technology, Jamaica, and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Systems from the Western Illinois University. He is the First Jamaican to be certified as a Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). He is credited for the establishment of the UTech Ja Society of Manufacturing Engineering Student Chapter S430 and was former Faculty Advisor.
He is a former council member and corporate member of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers (JIE) and represents JIE on the National Commission of Science and Technology. He is a Registered Industrial Engineer with the Professional Engineering Registration Board and member of IEOM, SME and IISE.
He has been lecturing in the areas of physics, mathematics, engineering, and management for
over a decade. In 2019, Mr. Bennett was the recipient of the UTech Ja President Award for Outstanding Community Service. He has been inducted as one of Jamaica’s Productivity Ambassador by the Jamaica Productivity Centre (JPC) and periodically writes for The Sunday Gleaner as guest columnist for Engineers’ Angle. He is an Assistant Chief Examiner for a technical subject in CAPE at the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) and External Examiner for the Joint Board for Teacher Education (JBTE).
His research interests are productivity improvement, operations research, manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and quality control management.

Dr. Rajeev Agrawal is Fellow of The Institution of Engineer’s (IEI), India. He has more than 20 years of Professional Experience. Dr. Rajeev Agrawal received his M. E. in 2001 from M.N.N.I.T., Allahabad and Ph. D. in 2012 from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (Ranchi). He is presently working as Associate Professor in Department of Mechanical engineering M.N.I.T. Jaipur.
His research interest is on Industry 4.0, Sustainable Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Solving real life Operations management related problems, Automation in Manufacturing and reconfigurable manufacturing system. He serves on the editorial board of three international journals and has guest edited special issues in around 8 journal and books. Several SCI Journal and International Conference articles have been credited into his account. He set up a CNC Lab. He has research funding from major funding agencies including ADA , Govt. of India, under NPMASS and IE(I). He has also published book chapters on Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing Integration of Process Planning and Scheduling, Smart Actuators, Sustainable Manufacturing and Reconfigurable Assembly Systems etc. with renowned international publishers. He is a recognized reviewer of reputed international SCI Journals and Conferences. He has delivered keynote talks at various platforms of National and international stature including The 3rd European International Conference on IEOM Pilsen,Czech Republic. He is an active member of several dynamic societies and research organisations worldwide. Dr. Rajeev Agrawal has been actively involved in research & development (R&D) activities in engineering space. He is actively involved in bringing industry orientation to the engineering education system in India working with several industries, statutory bodies and other organizations.
Dr. Agrawal provides service to the industries (including SME industries) by sharing his expertise and competence of his experience to diagnose and solve industrial problems objectively in selected areas of industrial engineering, Auonomation and Automation. Dr. Agrawal research work focuses on Process Improvement initiatives for productivity enhancement. Through Consulting, Workshop & Training, he applies his skills and experience to those components that profoundly affect an organization’s performance and provide a direction for growth and success.
One of the objectives of his current research is to address conversion quickly for the production of new product by providing customized flexibility and can be improved , upgraded and reconfigured in response to fluctuating demands for automotive companies situated in India

Till Becker graduated in Information Systems at the University of Münster, Germany. He joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as IT-Consultant and IT-Auditor before he returned to academia to receive his PhD in International Logistics from Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany. Subsequently, he was appointed Professor of the “Production Systems and Logistic Systems” research group at the University of Bremen, Germany. Currently, he is Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Emden, Germany.
The research focus of Till Becker is the investigation of the interdependencies between the structure and the dynamic behavior of complex material flow networks. He is also working on data-driven solutions in the fields of data science and machine learning as part of digitalization efforts in companies.

Donald M. Reimer is an adjunct faculty at the A. Leon Linton Department of Mechanical Engineering in College of Engineering at Lawrence Tech in Southfield, Michigan. He coordinates the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Engineering Skills. Mr. Reimer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Detroit/Mercy. He is a Certified Management Consultant with over 35 years of experience in working with closely-held businesses. He has taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategic management, corporate entrepreneurship and innovation for engineers. Mr. Reimer is a member of the Lawrence Tech Kern Campus Committee, Coordinator of the Lawrence Tech Innovation Encounter. He is faculty Advisor of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Mr. Reimer serves as a Kern Fellow of The Kern Family Foundation, Co-Direct of the Coleman Fellows Program, member of the National Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization Faculty Advisory Council and is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education.
He has operated his own consulting company – The Small Business Strategy Group for 23 years. He published numerous articles on small business, entrepreneurship and strategic thinking. He has received several awards and recognition by local, state and federal agencies for his work in entrepreneurship and minority business development. Mr. Reimer served as member of the Minority Economic Development Committee of New Detroit. Mr. Reimer is member of the Small Business Advisory Council of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Reimer is a member of Advisory Board of the Milwaukee Junction Small Business Assistance Center. He is also a member of the Applied Innovation Alliance. Mr. Reimer serves as a KEEN Fellow for The Kern Family Foundation and is a member of United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Ximena M. Córdova, Ph.D., was the first woman to graduate in Mathematics from the National Polytechnic School, Quito-Ecuador. She has a Master’s in Quality, Management and Productivity and a Master’s in Actuarial Sciences from The University of Iowa, Iowa, USA. She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Wichita State University, USA. She was also the first woman to hold the position of Provost at the San Francisco de Quito University (USFQ) until 2020. She has served as a Professor at the San Francisco de Quito University for more than 20 years and was Dean of the School of Engineering of the College of Sciences and Engineering. She is currently a Senior Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering. She is one of the founders of the project “Women in Science and Engineering”, WISE, to encourage women to study in the areas of science and engineering. She has managed to influence at least 5 female alumni of the USFQ of Industrial Engineering to obtain their Ph.D. in Engineering and for many graduates to continue their four-level studies.
Her research is applied to Green Supply Chains through the modeling, analysis and optimization of logistics systems using CO2 emissions as a performance measure and the use of Ecuadorian anthropometry data for the ergonomic design of work spaces.

Sara Shafiee is a Researcher/Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Denmark. Sara holds a Ph.D. in management engineering and Technology Development and has +8 years of experience as an IT project manager and consultant in the industry and academia with more than 20 articles in high-level journals. Sara has received several academic awards and is the winner of the Alexander Foss Award in 2017 and the Innovation Fund Denmark’s best Industrial Researcher Prize in 2018. She was one of the five official finalists of the SDG Tech Awards 2020. She is also appointed as one of the eight ambassadors of Innovation Fund Denmark since 2018, Inno-women, with the mission to perform as the visible role model for potential females applications. Aligned with her motivations, she founded her company DivERS in 2021, which provides a systematic approach during the recruitment process to improve the quality of employment by eliminating biases regarding gender, age, race, etc. In 2021, DivERS was awarded the best Digital National Startup by Venture Cup Denmark.

Associate Professor Dr. Au Yong Hui Nee holds a PhD degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a graduate of MA Economics from University of Tsukuba in Japan. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). She was sponsored to attend Impact Evaluation Methods by World Bank Group and Women’s Director Programme by the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM).
Dr. Au Yong was trained in commercial and investment banks. Prior to joining academia, she held managerial positions at Fortune 500 multinational corporations and a state agency. She has close to two decades of extensive experience managing information system, environment safety & health and supply chain & logistics and compliance risk management. She was a registered Safety and Health Officer, an IRCA Quality Lead Auditor and management representative of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001.
Furthermore, Dr. Au Yong has published over thirty articles in SSCI/Scopus-indexed journals. She serves as a chief editor of China’s Belt and Road Initiative book published by World Scientific Publishing (Singapore), an editor for five international journals and a reviewer for fifteen SSCI/SCIE-indexed international journals. She has completed research and consulting projects for local and international clients (Japan and Pakistan). She has received over USD150,000 of research grants. Dr. Ilham Kissani is an assistant professor in the field of engineering management for the School of Science and Engineering at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. She has served as the main advisor and lead instructor for the undergraduate and MS programs in Engineering and Management Systems since 2010. She has helped create very close ties with the AUI School of Business Administration, which allows both schools to leverage our resources and deliver a greater diversity of courses to students, such as supply chain management and operations management. Her background is diverse and includes industrial experience as well as academic. Her degrees are from INSEA, Morocco (Engineer) and Université Laval, Canada (Master and Ph.D). She has worked with Royal Dutch Shell as a project manager and with Modellium Québec, where she consulted in logistics and supply chain issues. Additionally, Dr. Kissani contributes in research in supply chain management, planning, and operations research. She is a member of ASEM, IEEE, IEOM, IIE, and INFORMS.

Dr. Elizabeth Cudney is an Associate Professor of Business Data Analytics in the John E. Simon School of Business at Maryville University. She received her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University, Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and MBA from the University of Hartford, and doctorate in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri – Rolla. She received the 2020 Walter E. Masing Book Prize from the International Academy for Quality for her book on Lean Six Sigma. In 2018, Dr. Cudney received the ASQ Crosby Medal for her book on Design for Six Sigma. Dr. Cudney received the 2018 IISE Fellow Award. She also received the 2017 Yoshio Kondo Academic Research Prize from the International Academy for Quality for sustained performance in exceptional published works. In 2014, Dr. Cudney was elected as an ASEM Fellow. In 2013, Dr. Cudney was elected as an ASQ Fellow. In 2010, Dr. Cudney was inducted into the International Academy for Quality. She received the 2008 ASQ A.V. Feigenbaum Medal and the 2006 SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineering Award. She has published nine books and over 95 journal papers. Dr. Cudney is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. She holds eight ASQ certifications, which include ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence, and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, amongst others.
